In keeping with Malaysia's image of a fast
developing, modern country, Kuala Lumpur, with it's huge skyscrapers and
new developments, can rival any capital city in the world. But despite
the ever increasing "westernization", KL has a collection of
old style colonial buildings right in the heart of the city.

Dayabumi Complex
Known as the first "Malaysian-Style" building in KL. This is
an honour given to buildings which combine modern archtecture with traditional
Islamic designs. This 35-storey skyscraper has impressive entrance arches.
The Railway Station
Arches, spires and shapely minarets are the focal point of this classic
style Islamic building. Despite being surrounded by character-less skyscrapers,
The Old Station still remains an impressive sight.
Menara Kuala Lumpur
Before the Twin Towers, the Menara Communication Tower was the highest
point in S.E.Asia but, despite being overtaken as the top tourist spot
in the city, still attracts many visitors to it's viewing gallery and
revolving top.
The restaurant is also worth checking out
but can be a touch expensive.
