World famous Sipadan Island lies just above the equator in the Sulawesi Sea. The geographic position of Sipadan is at the heart of richest marine habitat in the world, the Indo-Pacific basin.

Over 3,000 species of fish and hundreds of coral species have been identified here and the island has high numbers of green and hawksbill turtles, which gather to mate and nest. A unique feature for divers is the "Turtle Tomb", an underwater cave of tunnels and chambers that contains skeletons of drowned turtles.

Barracuda often gather in thousands forming spectacular tornado-like images and with the chance of seeing mantas, eagle rays, scalloped hammerhead sharks and whale sharks, each dive is different. Garden eels, leaf scorpionfish, mantis shrimps, fire graces and various pipefish are guaranteed at most dive sites.

The diversity of the marine life found around the island has earned Sipadan the honour of being voted one of the ten best dive locations in the world.
